When I graduated from elementary, I had the dilemma of choosing where to study high school. There were two schools--St, Dominic Academy, where my elementary friends will surely go; and Colegio de Santa Philomena, where my cousins study--that i needed to choose from. And for some reason, I chose CdSP. Have no regrets tho! I am happy with my decision. I will be forever grateful to my alma mater.
Anyways, so since then, me and my elementary friends grew apart. It's only until recently that we miraculously reconnected! (at may bonus pang new friends!)
I am really glad that we finally found our way back! NAMISS KO KAYO MGA BRUHO AT BRUHA!
So yeah, nung araw na 'to...well actually gabi I braved the scary, long, dark road in the middle of bukids just to reach Ted's by myself in a tricycle. Oh the things we do in the name of the bitch called LOVE! Thank You, LORD at nakarating naman akong buhay! hoho. Plus ang bait pa ni Manong kasi he only asked for 40Php, when Balatong usually costs aroung 50-70Php. I LOVE YOU MANONG! (if you can only read this)
So after the picture-an blues (kasi nga namiss nila ako masyado. i am so kiligs), nag-aya si Ted sa 'Banay' (not sure with the spelling tho). Honestly, I had no idea what Banay was (until now), so we were all game to go even tho it was really dark outside.
hindi ko talaga inedit para mafeel ang kadiliman! |
Pero the most epic shit na ginawa namin...actually I was FORCED to do it! AYOKO TALAGA. PERO PINILIT AKO..KAMI NI TED PANGET!!! :(( Tumawid kami sa pilapil!!!

They sounded like children...then may matandang boses!!! whaaaaat! I panicked and then shouted, "SHIT PANO PAG MAY BARIL!? BAKA PATAYIN TAYO!!!" Then, they panicked too, "ALIS NA TAYO ALIS NA TAYO!" we were panicking and yet...nobody can move fast or else go home like a muddy monster kapag nalaglag ka sa bukid.

Hello!!! This is my current playlist--some songs are new and some are old. As of now, these are the songs the topped my taste. But the single that reached the highest level of my likeness is Taylor Swift's CHANGE. Sa sobrang pagkagusto ko nga dito, nagrecord pa ako ng sarili kong version.
I dedicate this song to all my followers and readers, and to my future followers and readers! I am not even sure if this will gain me a follower...baka mabawasan pa! hoho. Im so sorryy! I sounded like a frog...pero at least I really put effort on recording this one. I had 6 trials, i even ninjad for a quiet place and by quiet I mean wala dapat taong makakakita sa akin. I hope it made you smile naman...OK lang sakin matawa ka. OK lang din naman mainis ka. Kasi kahit ako nainis. hoho. I still thank God, tho He didnt bless me with a voice of a diva, binigyan pa rin Nya ako ng makapal na mukha para gawin to! wahaha
I hope I wont get tired listening to these songs. Bilib talaga ako sa mga composers--they never ran out of new ideas! Man, ang hirap kaya maging orig! I salute you people, continue making songs for my happy ears! hoho.
P.S.
I'm still human...wag po sana magbabago tingin nyo sa akin. hihihi <3

While I was busy surfing the net, I smelled something burning...something that irritated my nose...something that bothered me.
tuudduuuh! our store/house looked after the fire. We were forced to close for two days to get things fixed inside |
Right: Wet sacks of rice (near disposal). Left: The blown ceiling fan that caused the fire. |
Dust-filled store |
The ceiling/floor of our house's second level--almost there!!! |

And then, I asked myself, Why did I asked the last question? In times of WHATS-GONNA, you are trapped in your own self-conceit. Conscious or not--you don't have any escape. I'm ashamed of myself to ask such question--i wanna slap my face or split myself into two. God has His reasons..and you are not in any position to question Him. In great distress, if you cannot physically help, find somewhere quiet, sit down, and pray for the capable people to find the strength they need to solve the problem, for everything to end up fine, for you to have the power to comfort those who are about to give up.
Despite the doubts and unfaithfulness, God remained with us. Our house stands strong, our store is in good shape and is blessed prosperously, I am still in College and will graduate in a year and a half, there's a bright future awaiting for me--I know this, because I know God loves me. God remains true and faithful in the face of my infidelity and vulnerability.
"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." I Corinthians 10: 13
I have to thank Ms. Patty Laurel for making me feel good on Christmas Eve. I thought I'd have a sad sad Christmas--God always...ALWAYS has His way of telling me/you I'm/you're special.
So in that spirit, I shall spread good vibes in this post.
even tho i wasn't able to catch the 'games'--palambutan ng talong at kainan ng marshmallows--im still lucky to be present during th exchange-gifts part.
Our gift-giving is different from the usual exchange gift, since we are new to each other, we should say our 'first impressions' first, before we reveal who we had drawn. So, Kevin--but I call him Laxa--so, Laxa was the first one to give his gift. If my memory serves me right, I remembered him said, "Nung second year...'Aba ang ganda nito ha.'" From everything he said, the important-maganda-sya part only registered. And the revelation...tananananananan! JANINA MERCADO, IKAW NABUNOT KO. Wee. I was flattered, but i dont think that's much of a revelation. Im maganda and everybody knows it. CHAROT. Kidding aside, I was happy with what Laxa gave me--two Paulo Coelho books (By the River Piedra, I sat down and wept and Veronika decides to die). It made me a happy happy bee!
I am lucky to draw Aly cos her wishes are easy to find. I bought her a pink blush in Forever 21. My first impression of her was a bratty-snob girl, but now I find her jolly and funny. Hoho. I love her accent--her tagalog and english sound the same! oha! sosyal!
Since I am hours away from the start of classes, I shall blog about my second to the last sembreak.
I was so excited when the sembreak started! there's just so many plans in lined and not only that...i have THE much needed space from schoolworks and STRESS.
happy/game face! |
First off is the Seoul Garden resto in SM North Annex. I blogged about it here. And then I learned to cook some pampamilya dishes. And i also blogged about it here. Sembreak would have been so perfect if it wasn't only for the stupid flu, which i also blogged here (coupled with talks about maturity).

UNDAS this year is very different from the past, because it is our first time to have our 'own' puntod to visit and stay with for the rest of the day. This was also my first Undas with the Mercados. I usually go to Paltao with my mother's side cousins and relatives.
Ina's magic to bind us extended even up to her grave. I am so happy that we were together that day to visit and pray for Ina's soul. Though we're not complete, at least most of the ones here in the Philippines put effort to make my lola's puntod look special. I miss you, Ina!
I had a very cute conversation with my brother about our late gramma. He told me, "Natatakot ka ba sa bahay nila Ina? Ako hindi, siguro kapag nakita ko siya, ihuhug ko pa siya."
proud to be iglot by day, wolf by night, and in-the-middle by noon |
This past few days, ako ang tumatao sa kusina namin. In short I'm heading the kitchen. In other words, cook ako. Napakaganda talagang opportunity nito since meron na akong pwedeng idagdag na skill sa resume ko. Para kapag nag-apply akong girlfriend ni Xian Lim, tanggap agad! haha.
Growth is one of our constant needs in life. I didnt say WANT... I said it is a NEED. It is necessary so we could have a harmonious relationship with other people. If we're having problems dealing with other people, maybe because we treat growth as a want, that we don't ever bother wanting.
Mistakes are part of growing up--it make us learn our lesson we thought we already knew. Like right now:
I thought Nanay was just too paranoid when she tells me not to eat too much sweets and too much cold bevs because if I did I'd get my allergies all boost up again, and by allergies she meant runny nose and sore throat.
Well, since I thought i am all grown up and mature and I can handle my own shit...
NEWSFLASH, sister: Your're so immature, you don't even know how to listen. And if you just knew how to do that, you must have been in the store helping your paranoid Nanay with her work.
I've been bedridden for almost two days. All i do is eat (not even happy tummy food :(), watch, read, and write. I could almost say THIS IS THE LIFE, if not only for the baradong ilong, and makating lalamunan and the konsensya (if you know what i mean).
Sometimes, we thought we are mature enough to keep up and do things on our own. We think that we dont need others to tell or do things for us cos we think we are 100% geared up to be on our own. Uh-oh! Big No-No. We will never bee 100% ready for everything. We people are constant learners. Even my Nanay's not yet halfway to maturity, even my tatay, even your lolo or lola! There's always this new thing that we are not familiar with, that we commit a mistake the first time we tried it. And none of us deserves to be judged by the mistake we did, cos we change...we grow up. And we didn't grow up because we wanted to, it is because we needed to.
So since things needed to change here, I will listen to Nanay and eat this bunch of kiat-kiats and drink my water, and avoid allergy-booster food (goodbye happy-tummy food :().

my new best friends |
For our third MerSaki FADay, Karen and I decided, well...Karen chose to go Seoul Garden.
Seoul Garden is a nice Korean resto - buffet style - where you can cook/grill/boil whatever you want--Seafood, meat, raw salad--your style.
It is kind of the one I blogged before, the hotpot, but this one's better cos the food are divided into categories--meat, seafood, desserts, beverages, sauces, salads.
My favorite category is the dessert. They a have fridge of ice cream with six different flavors - you get to choose whatever flavor you like, you can choose all if you want to, but trust me you cant cos youll get full just by the main course. And on the other side, if ice cream's not your thing, they have the complete ingredient for your Halo-halo (cant believe they have halo-halo in Korea!).
We got the cookies on the bar, where all the cupcakes and pastries are displayed. I also love the beverages part cos you get to choose whichever drink you wish! You can change drinks after drinks! Man, it's like a food heaven in the Philippines but in Seoul...whatever! hahaha.
My ice cream was mango-flavored with chocolate sprinkles, marshmallows, and sago and nata de coco on the side. Karen's avocado, with all the sprinkles, and banana, sago, and nata de coco on the side.(Mine looks much much edible, don't you think? :))
For our main course, we had pork teriyaki and garlic, chicken teriyaki and garlic, all the balls you could imagine, chicken, korean rice, veggies, some unknown food = They all tasted YUMMY, HAPPY TUMMY! Buuut, they wouldnt taste as yummy if you dont try the sauce, we only get to try the three basic sauces, and man they were the BEST!
just starting |
The branch we went to is located in SM North EDSA.
I hope I did a good job enticing you with our experience. You should try this one! And the price is very student friendly. :)
HAPPY 3RD MERSAKI FADAY!
I sure look like I have cancer lol |
P.S.
If you want to treat a friend for your birthday, or just cos youre happy, this is the place to go! Right, Karen? hihi :) Arigatou Gozaimasu!
