CHILDHOOD REUNIONS

When I graduated from elementary, I had the dilemma of choosing where to study high school. There were two schools--St, Dominic Academy, where my elementary friends will surely go; and Colegio de Santa Philomena, where my cousins study--that i needed to choose from. And for some reason, I chose CdSP. Have no regrets tho! I am happy with my decision. I will be forever grateful to my alma mater.

Anyways, so since then, me and my elementary friends grew apart. It's only until recently that we miraculously reconnected! (at may bonus pang new friends!)

I am really glad that we finally found our way back! NAMISS KO KAYO MGA BRUHO AT BRUHA!

So yeah, nung araw na 'to...well actually gabi I braved the scary, long, dark road in the middle of bukids just to reach Ted's by myself in a tricycle. Oh the things we do in the name of the bitch called LOVE! Thank You, LORD at nakarating naman akong buhay! hoho. Plus ang bait pa ni Manong kasi he only asked for 40Php, when Balatong usually costs aroung 50-70Php. I LOVE YOU MANONG! (if you can only read this)

So after the picture-an blues (kasi nga namiss nila ako masyado. i am so kiligs), nag-aya si Ted sa 'Banay' (not sure with the spelling tho). Honestly, I had no idea what Banay was (until now), so we were all game to go even tho it was really dark outside.

hindi ko talaga inedit para mafeel ang kadiliman!
I was so giddy to go on an adventure with them since the last time we bonded seemed like ages ago. When we were on our way, I had already a bad feeling that Ted betrayed us and it was going to be a one big horror walk...And guess what? I was right. Man, the narrow way was really really dark with all the tall monster trees on both sides. Kung andon siguro si Samantha sugat-sugat na siguro buong katawan non sa dami ng beses nang pagkakadapa! I was imagining na mamaya may tao na pala don sa singit-singit ng mga hala-halaman. And fuck! I remembered Michelle's story about the tiktik! Feeling ko, ako na yung susunod na biktima..and the tiktik was just waiting for her best moment to get me! :( Feeling ko may kukuha na lang sa akin basta-basta at mamamatay na ako! So, nag-isip talaga ako ng way para di mangyare yon. Humablot ako ng isang pwedeng dumefend sa akin sa left at yung isa ko namang kamay ay todo-kapit kay Charisse. So yeah, I was like a hotdog sandwiched by two other haaaatdogs! YES! I was well protected. behhhlat sa mukha mo tiktik!

Pero the most epic shit na ginawa namin...actually I was FORCED to do it! AYOKO TALAGA. PERO PINILIT AKO..KAMI NI TED PANGET!!! :(( Tumawid kami sa pilapil!!!

Ted and his super crazy ideas of fun!
Every morbid means of death flashed thru my eyes. Whaaaat now. Whaaat now!! Tas bigla na lang may nagmumura from the distance...

#%@*@)&^#(#)^!(@)&^(O@_#_ UMALIS KAYO DYAN!!! !^@*)##&#_#)@*@^%#$@)*@*

They sounded like children...then may matandang boses!!! whaaaaat! I panicked and then shouted, "SHIT PANO PAG MAY BARIL!? BAKA PATAYIN TAYO!!!" Then, they panicked too, "ALIS NA TAYO ALIS NA TAYO!" we were panicking and yet...nobody can move fast or else go home like a muddy monster kapag nalaglag ka sa bukid.

nakasmile pa 'tong si Cha! mamamatay na kame!
Geee! -Ellen (haha!)
Apparently, we survived! The voices turned out to be a bunch of kids fooling around. :/ Kuya! Pinakaba nyo kame!

Last night was SDA's (one of my high school choices) Grand Alumni Homecoming, and...and...I GATECRASHED! hahahaha.

Batch '09 naman talaga ako ah! Di nga lang sa Dominic
I was really happy that my batchmates invited me to come...hindi na ako nagdalawang isip na pumunta. GORABELS AGAD! At masmatagal na bonding ang ginawa namin. We ate dinner together, sold tickets together, took pictures together, played games together (hmp 3 lang kami akcheli), discriminated people together,,,at lahat pa ng imaginable togetherness! haha

Twas fun...sobrang fun especially sa boys kasi andon si Lexie Fernandez. Mga fanboys! hoho

Kaming mga girls sa mom na lang ni Lexie, kay Maritoni na lang! haha

haynako Rafael!

And whats even fun? Everything doesnt end that night. May next episode pa! I am looking forward for more picture perfect moments at kahit near-death moments pa yan...GORABELS lang! Oh! The things we do..we will do for the LOVE called BITCHES! haha.

BATCH '09 IS THE COMBINATION OF THE WORSTS AND THE BESTS. AND I'M PROUD TO BE IN IT :)

P.S.

Thanks to my new friend Maverick for the photos! :) BTW, SHE taught me how to make a gecko scram. You only hafta scream the magic words:

3 Paskuhan down...1 to go!

So ive been whaaaatt 3 years in college and 3 years in joining the Paskuhan celebration.

Paskuhan is the annual Christmas Party for all Thomasians...uhm for everybody. It's like a big gathering of Thomasians, non-thomasians, jejes, rakistas, emos, punks, and the likes. Many bands, artists, and students perform in the UST Grandstand and the audience owns the dusty UST Field. It's quite fun but it's extra fun for the JJs (Jumping Jologs) who love rakenroll. Plus the aura of the place is an awe! UST's beauty really shines every night of December--with those Christmas lights and decors all over campus. Talagang Paskong-pasko ang feel ng bawat Tomasino!

SOOOO... here's me in my past 3 Paskuhan Years:

My iAM Family
On my first year, I was with the first year blockmates. Twas really fuuuuuun! I enjoyed jumping and screaming especially when the song played was familiar to me. My blockies were surprised to see me on a party mode...Di sila sanay. Kala nila nerdy-nerdy lang ako, Mehhh. Sanay rin akong pumarty no! ha ha. I was a rock enthusiast back then...until now naman kaso hindi na ako mega-showy (excpet na lang siguro kapag favorite ko talaga yung band).

2009 LOOK.

In 2010, I was still with them. haha. I also brought my cousin Eunice this year. The performances were very special since it was the start of the Quadricentennial Celebration of UST. Not only bands perform, there were also many popular artists like Beverly Salviejo and Sweet Lapus, who were also alumni of the University, who made the night alive and funny for everybody present.

2010 LOOK

I am happy with what I wore and what I looked this year!!! haha. Finally, womanhood!!! Unti-unti ko nang nararating. I can do this, baby steps! Next year, ill wear a bonggang bonggang gown para ganap na akong babae! hohoho. I kid! I celebrated Paskuhan with my cousins Eunice and Elaine. Originally, we were with Sheena, Karen, and Junald. Kaso they disappeared like vamps into the night :( And then the next plan was to party with my IAM friends again but the networks were sucky as usual. We got tired of looking for them so instead we chilled out in Starbucks after the program. This is the first Paskuhan na maayos yung itsura ko sa picture, hindi mukhang nerdy nerdy or tomboy! haha. May bonus pa akong picture with Jeric Fortuna (bottom right)!

2011 LOOK

On my last year, i wish that itd be a memorable one! :)

Fa La La La

Hello!!! This is my current playlist--some songs are new and some are old. As of now, these are the songs the topped my taste. But the single that reached the highest level of my likeness is Taylor Swift's CHANGE. Sa sobrang pagkagusto ko nga dito, nagrecord pa ako ng sarili kong version.

I dedicate this song to all my followers and readers, and to my future followers and readers! I am not even sure if this will gain me a follower...baka mabawasan pa! hoho. Im so sorryy! I sounded like a frog...pero at least I really put effort on recording this one. I had 6 trials, i even ninjad for a quiet place and by quiet I mean  wala dapat taong makakakita sa akin. I hope it made you smile naman...OK lang sakin matawa ka. OK lang din naman mainis ka. Kasi kahit ako nainis. hoho. I still thank God, tho He didnt bless me with a voice of a diva, binigyan pa rin Nya ako ng makapal na mukha para gawin to! wahaha

I hope I wont get tired listening to these songs. Bilib talaga ako sa mga composers--they never ran out of new ideas! Man, ang hirap kaya maging orig! I salute you people, continue making songs for my happy ears! hoho.

P.S.

I'm still human...wag po sana magbabago tingin nyo sa akin. hihihi <3

A Day After Christmas

While I was busy surfing the net, I smelled something burning...something that irritated my nose...something that bothered me.

*****

Today, I, together with my extended family, reminisce the reflective day of December 26.

tuudduuuh! our store/house looked after the fire. We were forced to close for two days to get things fixed inside
Right: Wet sacks of rice (near disposal). Left: The blown ceiling fan that caused the fire.
Dust-filled store
The ceiling/floor of our house's second level--almost there!!!
Damaged Goods
The experience was really scary. I was already thinking of what's gonna happen next. What if the firemen wasn't able to stop the fire? What if the fire spread all over the house? Whats gonna happen to us? Whats gonna happen to me? Where do we live? Can I still graduate? Whats the future awaiting for me? Why God, why?

And then, I asked myself, Why did I asked the last question? In times of WHATS-GONNA, you are trapped in your own self-conceit. Conscious or not--you don't have any escape. I'm ashamed of myself to ask such question--i wanna slap my face or split myself into two. God has His reasons..and you are not in any position to question Him. In great distress, if you cannot physically help, find somewhere quiet, sit down, and pray for the capable people to find the strength they need to solve the problem, for everything to end up fine, for you to have the power to comfort those who are about to give up.

Despite the doubts and unfaithfulness, God remained with us. Our house stands strong, our store is in good shape and is blessed prosperously, I am still in College and will graduate in a year and a half, there's a bright future awaiting for me--I know this, because I know God loves me. God remains true and faithful in the face of my infidelity and vulnerability.

"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.  But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."  I Corinthians 10: 13

Parties before Christmas!

I have to thank Ms. Patty Laurel for making me feel good on Christmas Eve. I thought I'd have a sad sad Christmas--God always...ALWAYS has His way of telling me/you I'm/you're special.

So in that spirit, I shall spread good vibes in this post.

even tho i wasn't able to catch the 'games'--palambutan ng talong at kainan ng marshmallows--im still lucky to be present during th exchange-gifts part.

Our gift-giving is different from the usual exchange gift, since we are new to each other, we should say our 'first impressions' first, before we reveal who we had drawn. So, Kevin--but I call him Laxa--so, Laxa was the first one to give his gift. If my memory serves me right, I remembered him said, "Nung second year...'Aba ang ganda nito ha.'" From everything he said, the important-maganda-sya part only registered. And the revelation...tananananananan! JANINA MERCADO, IKAW NABUNOT KO. Wee. I was flattered, but i dont think that's much of a revelation. Im maganda and everybody knows it. CHAROT. Kidding aside, I was happy with what Laxa gave me--two Paulo Coelho books (By the River Piedra, I sat down and wept and Veronika decides to die). It made me a happy happy bee!

I am lucky to draw Aly cos her wishes are easy to find. I bought her a pink blush in Forever 21. My first impression of her was a bratty-snob girl, but now I find her jolly and funny. Hoho. I love her accent--her tagalog and english sound the same! oha! sosyal!

Commerce Journal Christmas Special

In CJ, we annually celebrate a Christmas Party too. It's my second year to celebrate it with them. Last year it was crazy fun. This year, it was crazy-crazy fuuuuun (more kadiri pala)! well you can see it in the photos below:

So yeaaah. MADNESS all over the place. Thanks organizers! You really did your purpose--at yon ay BABUYIN KAMI. haha! Kidding. Well totoo naman pala talaga! :))  Let's forget about it and proceed to the exchange gifts.

I picked "Choki Choki" who had only two items on his wishlist: The Quants and a Parker Ballpen. When i was in the mall, my target was to buy the book cos i know it will cost me too much if i chose the ballpen. But God forbids, i ended up with Parker! haha. Well it's 79 more than the price deal. But it's fine. Choki choki turned out to be Paolo, whom i ranted out about the ballpen. #awkward

Ivan drawn me. And i am really happy with he gave me, very timely! A Fibrella Umbrella! wee! i lost mine so, i am really glad it's what he chose instead of the others. He told me he will add the Sans Rival next year. Pero umarte-arte pa akong ayaw ko kuno. haha sorry, shytype me! pero *crossedfingers* haha

Pamilee's Own Xmas party soooon! tagal mag-upload eh!
